Our Medical internships in Ghana are based in Accra, Cape Coast and Kumsai. You will be based in a bustling city hospital working with patients who have a wide range of ailments.
The Ghanaian government and various other organizations are working to reach the needy and impoverished people to improve overall health in the country, but resources are absent, as are quality trained healthcare professionals. As a medical volunteer, you can make an immense difference in Ghana’s healthcare industry.
Volunteers/Interns in our medical volunteer program in Ghana work alongside doctors, nurses and other medical professionals in various departments like Gynecology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, depending on their background and training.
The hospitals provide an excellent backdrop for learning about medical practices in another country. On a daily basis you will experience different approaches to medicine and treatments and see conditions that are unusual in Europe and North America, such as malaria and typhoid.
ROLE OF AN INTERN
